ENERGY PRODUCTION – BIODIESEL from WASTE PLASTICS

Globally, the effective treatment of waste – in particular PLASTICS – is a major environmental and economic challenge. Plastic waste now has been detected in every ecosystem around the world. To date, the treatment of plastics waste has generally been restricted to recycling back into plastic containers and packaging and the like. The recycling of the plastic, however, continues to keep plastics in the ecosystems. Now, through our partner NextGEN NRG, there are alternatives that effectively deal with the treatment of waste plastics, which provides a Sustainable Innovation in the effective “Waste to Energy” solution that converts waste plastics into “BIO-DIESEL”. This process is an effective innovation technology (refer video below) which can be considered to achieve results against the United Nations – Sustainable Development Goals – including Goals 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17 by providing an economic fuel source from waste.

The creation of Bio-diesel from waste plastics can produce flexible outputs to suit local requirements (as a guide):
:     Converting 70 to 75% (by weight) of waste plastic produces low grade diesel for use in trucks and machinery
:     Higher output quality levels of conversion to approx. 60% (by weight) of waste plastic can produce high grade
diesel for use in such vehicles as boats and cars.

As a guide – 22 ton of plastic waste can produce 15,000 lt of low grade diesel for use in machinery
